Work experience

Work Experience- Norwich Radio
On the (I don’t know the date will have to find out) I went to Celador radio in Norwich to do some work experience and to find out what that part of the industry was all about. I got the amazing opportunity to look at all of the aspects of a radio station and what goes into running it, I got to see the news team, production managers and the voices of the station as well. I decided to take this opportunity because radio is something I’ve always be interested in and wanted to see what went into doing it, it was cool to see the copious amount of different people they sources and people that go into even small sections.
The placement didn’t meet all of the expectations I had but it was still a useful experience, I would of preferred to look at a different are like presenting rather than news team as well as it did seem like it was a hard business to get into as well not being rewarded as much for that hard work. I’ve learnt that the radio production process can be very long and repetitive

Work experience- Retro activewear
I’ve been working at Retro activewear for a long time because it is run by someone I am close too so got the opportunity to do a lot of experience, from doing computer work like organising their system and uploading things online to sell to doing work on the factory floor. I feel like this has given me good insight on what a real business looks like and potentially some second hand tips on how to run owner and the owner of the business is always trying to get me to do things outside my comfort zone and to do things for myself.
It has also let me know that I want to be in the position to run my own business rather than being under someone else. Its also allowed me to interact with people I wouldn’t of done so otherwise and allowed me to build my communication skills.

Workshop- ArtyFakes

A farther-daughter team came in on the 18th October 2019 to teach us about their business and also give us a demonstration of how they would make one of the props that they might sell. They obviously had a passion for what they were doing and it was good to see they were enjoying teaching us.Normally there workshops consist of helping you design and build your own costume or model but we had a special class as it was college related. I thought it was a good experience to see another potential side to this industry i could go into but it didn't appeal to me in that way.

29th January 2020 - Scooterpac

Scooterpac came in to offer an exciting experience to our class which a job vacancy was needed to be filled , which gave excellent experience and was also a paid position, it involved answering a few questions and trying to come up with insinuative ideas that could help the company , in the end 3 people ended up going for the interview although i wasn't chosen for the job it still gave me more confidence and experience.
